According to the pre-Olympic press conference, deputy editor of RIA Novosti Maxim Filimonov, the transfer of pictures by using a unique system of "Blitz", is designed specifically for the Olympics-2014. According to Filimonov, this system provides an unprecedented speed of the Russian media, the proper performance of major international news agencies. After the Olympics-2014 in Sochi, the system will be used to cover other activities.
During the Olympics-2014 in Sochi for taking pictures will also be used special robots that will take photos at odd angles that are inaccessible to humans. Such a system was first tested during the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, where it has been proven its effectiveness, said Filimonov.
RIA Novosti news agency plans on a daily basis to provide the Russian media 1200 photos from the Olympics in Sochi, about 200 of which will be posted for free download in a specially created photo bank.
"With our contents the project from the Olympics will be available to tens of millions of people", - said Maxim Filimonov.
