Russian museums: Clodt’s manor in Samara opened after restoration
March 21, 2014 Clodt’s manor in Samara is opened after renovation, according to information management and analytics of the Administration of Samara.
Clodt’s manor is an architectural monument of federal importance. It was built in the nineteenth century and belonged to the merchant Ivan Clodt. In 1900, in the building was opened children's art gallery. The museum houses over 17,000 children's drawings from Russia, the USA, England, Japan, Germany, Bulgaria and Brazil.
During the opening ceremony the guests were presented four exhibitions. The works of the winners of the contest-festival of visual arts dedicated to the art of dance are shown, as well as an exposition of dolls in suits French rococo, a collection of reliefs for the visually impaired "Art of the Middle Ages" and an exhibition about the history of the mansion of Clodt.
