History and culture: The meeting of the Russian Historical Society and the Culture Council under the Chairman of the State Duma is held

March 20, 2014 in Moscow took place a meeting of the Russian Historical Society and the Culture Council under the Chairman of the State Duma.

As part of the meeting took place the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Russian Historical Society (RHS) and the Russian Book Union (RCU). These two local organizations combine their efforts in the field of historical and educational activities, they will jointly publish books, organize exhibitions and establish literary prize. The document was signed by the chairman of RIO, the State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin and president of the RCC Sergei Stepashin.

As recalled the executive secretary of the RIO Andrei Petrov, two organizations have already implemented a number of joint projects. One of them is the anthology "Russian writers of the First World War". RCC and RIO jointly participate in a public examination of history textbooks, which this year is held to include books in the federal list of textbooks.

In 2014 the Russian Historical Society has planned several other projects, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First World War. At the meeting they were talked about multimedia exhibitions and the release of music albums with military songs.
