Society and reading: Festival of children’s book “Look – read!” in Moscow

In the museum and exhibition center "Worker and Collective Farm Girl" (Moscow) from March 19 to April 17, 2014 is held a large-scale festival of children's books, "Look - read!"

The space under the sculpture by Vera Mukhina is given to interactive exhibitions dedicated to children's literature. As part of the festival are supposed round tables, lectures, workshops, book presentations, meetings with writers and illustrators and children's representation of home theater, located in the living room of the House of a book.

The festival, which combines literary museums, publishers, artists and writers at the same site in a full museum exhibition, is held in Moscow for the first time. The authors of the exposition have focused on visual possibilities of children's literature, because illustrations are designed to help young readers to perceive and appreciate texts.
