The Presidential Library: New acquisitions

The Presidential Library collections have been enriched with new video materials.

Together with the Russian State Library is prepared a video tour of the exhibition on materials of the exhibition Books from libraries of the Imperial House of Romanov in collections of the Russian State Library (St. Petersburg, 2013). The exhibition is devoted to the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov and includes books from the personal libraries of the royal family. In exhibition materials are fully reflected the tastes and priorities of their respective owners, and some publications remind of the tragic events in the life of the last Romanovs.

Another result of the joint work (this time with the Russian State Museum) has become a documentary Chairmen of space (St. Petersburg, 2013), dedicated to the Russian avant-garde - the flow in the visual arts, is actively developing in our country in the first third of the 20th century. Described in detail the major milestones of the emergence and development of avant-garde and is drawn attention to its individual members: V. Tatlin, V. Shklovsky, V. Kandinsky, P. Filonov, K. Malevich.

As part of the educational project of the Presidential Library "Video lecture "Knowledge about Russia" are presented materials on the Russian language and included in the collection of the same name: D. A. Romanov To the history of Cyril and Methodius writing in Russia (St. Petersburg, 2013); R. A. Gimadeev Russia: language, people, culture (St. Petersburg, 2013); G. V. Tokarev Semantic-pragmatic and legal aspects of abuse as a form of verbal aggression (St. Petersburg, 2013).

In addition, on the portal are published records of individual performances at the 6th meeting of the Academic Council of the Presidential Library, held on October 23 last year.
