Electronic libraries: Electronic library “Kolsky North” presented in Murmansk

In the Murmansk State Regional Universal Scientific Library on March 14, 2014 is launched the electronic library "Kolsky North".

The electronic library "Kolsky North" http://kolanord.ru – is a new information resource of the regional scientific library that extends the access to digitized versions of local history documents.

The website posts publications on the history of the Kosky Peninsula, on the social, socio-economic, scientific and cultural life. They are addressed to researchers, local historians, researchers, schoolchildren and students, anyone interested in the past and present of our region.

Publications are presented as thematic collections:

• "Research of Murman";

• "The colonization of the Murmansk region";

• "Kolsky Sami";

• "Preserving memory of the war";

• "Russian North";

• "Shrines of the Kolsky Peninsula".

The central place in the electronic library takes the section "Authors of Murman", which includes works by contemporary historians, local historians, journalists, writers and poets of the region.

For readers of the electronic library are available electronic versions of newspapers and magazines today, emerging in the region, local history periodicals of 1920s, archive of the newspaper "Polar truth".
