World history: Large-scale projects dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First World War prepared by State Archive

He reported that the Russian archives to the 100 anniversary of the start of the First World War prepare an ambitious documentary exhibition, digitize a million loss list, open sites of George Knight and cultural figures of the time of the Great War.
"The central event will be an archival First World Exhibition, which opens on August 28 at the Maly Manezh. It is based on documents, film and photographic coverage of Russian, German, French and many other archives", - said Andrei Artizov.
"The Exhibition is given the name "Face the war". We have tried to show the Great War through the human destiny. Scientific Project Manager - Director of the State Archive of the Russian Federation Sergei Mironenko and artistic director - director Pavel Lungin", - said the head of the State Archive.
The archival exhibition about the First World will be travelling to many countries. The first foreign city will be Belgrade.
The head of the State Archive highlighted the Internet project of the portal "Officers of the First World - the Great Patriotic generals". "It is prepared by the Military Historical Archive. When all the materials are provided in electronic form, they will be posted on the State Archive and at the Ministry of Defense website", - said A. Artizov. Patron of the project is the head of the Russian Historical Society, chairman of the State Duma Andrey Naryshkin.
"We will digitize the entire index card losses in the First World War - millions of cards. Now they are stored in Siberia, so historically - because of the large volume these documents were taken in the 60s in the Siberian archives", - said the head of the State Archive. He stressed that all of them after so many years are declassified.
