Internet and culture: Rare music publications presented at the virtual exhibition of the Pskov Regional Library

March 2014 marks the 175th anniversary of the birth of M. P. Mussorgsky and 170 years since the birth of N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov. In their works, both composers developed scenes from Russian history. Their life is associated with the Pskov land.

In the Center for work with rare and valuable documents of the Pskov Regional Scientific Library is located the library of one more musician whose life is inextricably linked with Pskov - Vasily Ivanovich Yashnev. December 2014 marks the 135th anniversary of his birth. It is noteworthy that at the Saint-Petersburg Conservatory in the early XX century Vasily Yashnev studied with Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

Combining these three composers whose life is connected with the Pskov region, the library is a virtual exhibition of the most interesting musical editions of M. P. Mussorgsky and N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov from the library of V. I. Yashnev "Interweaving of Times".
