Memorable dates of Russia: Exhibition, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the G. A. Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre, in Moscow

March 6, 2014 at the A. A. Bakhrushin Central Theater Museum (Moscow) opens the exhibition "BDT. Almost a century", dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the G. A. Tovstonogov Drama Theatre.

The exhibition is prepared jointly with the Theatre Museum and the Museum of BDT. From St. Petersburg to Moscow were sent unique exhibits: historic photographs of performances in different years, the costumes by Alexander Benois, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Vladimir Schuko, Alexander Osmerkin, Moses Levin, Vladimir Dmitriev, Nikolai Akimov, Edward Kochergin, David Borovsky, as well as sketches to costumes of Yevgeny Panfilov to BDT premiere production "Alice".

Visitors will be able to see props and rarely demonstrated models for productions of "Joy-Street", "Arturo Ui Career", "Uncle Vanya", "Playing Cards". There are also costumes from the collection of the collection of the Bakhrushin Museum: Innocent Smoktunovsky coat for the role of Prince Myshkin in the play "The Idiot", Tatiana Doronina costume for the role of Masha in "Three Sisters", Chain mail of Henry IV, in which appeared on the scene Sergey Yurskiy in the production of "King Henry IV", and others.

The main part of the opening day is devoted, of course, to the era of G. A. Tovstonogov (BDT artistic director 1956-1989).

The exhibition is open from March 6-30, 2014.
