International events: Project “Map of the world in faces” in Saint-Petersburg

4 March 2014

March 4, 2014 at the National Library of Russia (Saint-Petersburg) starts the project “Map of the world in faces”.

The project is organized by the NLR together with General Consulates of Saint-Petersburg.

As part of the project will be held meetings, presentations, lectures providing insight to the culture and traditions of different countries, to see what is hidden from the eyes of tourists.

Every country which has representation office in our city will be able to become the mistress of the meeting in the NLR.

The project provides a direct opportunity of communication not only with official representative consulates, but also musicians, writers and other specialists.

March 4 in the main building of the national Library of Russia will be held the first meeting “Switzerland in its diversity”.

2014 is celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Russian-Swiss relations. A secular communication between the two countries has always been based on common interests and mutual respect.

The Consul General of Switzerland in St. Petersburg, Mr. Michel Fayette will present a fascinating presentation about their country and tell how strong and varied are the threads that have already bound us for two years - Switzerland and Russia. As part of the evening will be shown the film “Swiss sketches: landscapes, seasons, contrasts, values”.
