Book publishing and book distribution: The Russian exposition presented at the Teheran International Book Fair

From April 30 to May 10, 2014 is held the Tehran International Book Fair - the most important book event in Iran, passing in 2014 for already the 27th time.

This exhibition, which has a long experience of successful work, is one of the most famous in the world, every year it is visited by millions of readers. International section of Tehran Book Fair annually counts about 1,600 publishers who are exposed about 220 thousand titles of books. This year the exhibition welcomes the delegation of Germany, China, Japan, Oman, South Korea, Azerbaijan, Venezuela, Russia, Mexico, Turkey, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Turkmenistan, the United States, Canada, Afghanistan, Spain, Poland and India.

The Russian Book Union, with financial support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, organizes at the Tehran International Book Fair the Russian exposition and events program. National stand will feature books by Russian publishers, held meetings with Russian writers and publishers of Russian publishing houses. In addition, it is planned to hold a round table discussion on the new forms of work to promote books and reading. Russia's participation in the International Book Fair in Tehran is an excellent opportunity to take a new step in the strengthening of relations between Russia and Iran and promoting Russian literature abroad.
