Electronic resources: Seminar “Practice of creating electronic resources for archives, libraries and museums” in Orel

The Administration of Culture and Archives of the Orel region and the “Electronic Archive” Corporation on April 29, 2014 hold in the I. A. Bunin Orel Regional Scientific Universal Public Library a seminar “Practice of creating electronic information resources for archives, libraries and museums”.

The participants of the seminar will discuss issues of creation of high-quality digital resources, hardware specifications for digitization, search technology development, access and preservation of electronic information. According to the head of archives and relations of the Administration of Culture and Archives of the Orel region Pavel Morozov, this topic is very important for the development of institutions in the region, the formation of digital content of libraries museums and archives, as well as the preservation of historical and cultural heritage.

The seminar will announce the results of the project on the creation of electronic fund on the use of cinema documents, implemented on the initiative of the Main Archival Administration under the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic of Tatarstan. The event participants will also learn about the stages and technological features of the professional transmission of funds of cinema documents, video- and audio recordings into the electronic form.
