The First World War of 1914-1918 is a special milestone in the history of Russia, as well as in art history. All levels of the society, including an artistic intelligentsia, were taken by the patriotic fervor of the first months of war. Many artists have volunteered in the army. Some of them worked at the front as the reporters of major periodicals. The First World War graphic arts of propaganda nature had been taken primarily as a means of mobilizing the country to resist the mutual enemy and to help the front.

The exhibition works till May 18, 2014.
