Russian Memory: "In a Memory of Venerable Sergius of Radonezh" Exhibition in the Tyumen Region

21 April 2014

This year marks 700 years since the birth of St. Sergius of Radonezh. He is one of the most revered Russian saints - a special character in Russian history, the founder of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, dozens of other monasteries, the princes’ mediator and inspirer, the holy miracle worker.

In honor of this event the Museum of History and Ethnography of the Tyumen Region, with the assistance of the Yugorsk Parish of St. Sergius of Radonezh Church, opens the exhibition "In a Memory of Venerable Sergius of Radonezh."

The exhibition features the pieces from the museum and the Temple of Yugorsk: the books in the Old Slavonic language, psalter, Bible, the icons, crucifix, church canonicals and utensils.
