On the International Day of Defense of Monuments. Conference “Preserving Cultural Heritage of the Mari El Republic: Results and Prospects” in Yoshkar-Ola

Scientific and Practical Conference "Preservation of Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Mari El: Results and Prospects", organized the International Day of Defense of Monuments by the Ministry of Culture, Media and Ethnic Affairs of the Republic of Mari El, opens April 18, 2014 in Yoshkar-Ola.

The scientific forum, which takes place at the Timothy Evseev National Museum of the Republic of Mari El, is attended by the heads and staff of museums, scientists, historians, specialists in the field of conservation of cultural heritage.

Conference participants will deliver more than ten scientific reports and presentations on various aspects of the protection, preservation and use of cultural heritage sites, local history and museums.

The conference will include the opening of a museum exhibition "Rescued Archeology", which features the work of professional archaeologists at the sites destroyed by treasure hunters.
