World culture: “The Age of Rubens” Exhibition from the collection of the State Hermitage in Kaliningrad
From April 18, 2014 Kaliningrad Art Gallery presents the exhibition "The Age of Rubens. Allegorical, biblical and mythological subjects in the 17th century Flemish art" from the collection of the State Hermitage.
In December 2014, one of the world's leading museums - the State Hermitage - marks its 250th anniversary. On the eve of this grand event, Kaliningrad Art Gallery, which last year also celebrated its anniversary, the 25th one, had the honor to present in its halls masterpieces from the collection of the largest museum in the country.
The exhibition "The Age of Rubens. Allegorical, biblical and mythological subjects in the 17th century Flemish art" includes 30 paintings and 36 prints of famous Flemish masters - stories from the scriptures, ancient mythological scenes, portraits of well-known customers, hunting scenes and still lives.
