Information Technology and Security: "Kaspersky Lab" Patented the Cloud Services Protection Technology

Kaspersky Lab patented the cloud services protection technology - the developers’ anti-virus solutions that could be used for a more effective fight against cyber threats and illegitimate use of cloud by hackers.

Suppliers of protective solutions using cloud services to accelerate the response to detected dangers on the Internet. With these solutions help the client application receives information on new cyber threats and send suspicious files to developers for detailed analysis. However, attackers can use the feedback channel to send the distorted data for processing, so a malicious program could be taken for the safe, and legitimate applications might be compromised.

Patented by Kaspersky Lab system performs a series of check-ups before using the information received from the device. Server controls if the protocol of data transmission is not violated - non-standard order of operations and other abnormalities in this process may indicate an attempted hinder proper treatment. In turn, the protective application at the user side analyzes the configuration of the device.

The patented technology is applied in a cloud infrastructure Kaspersky Security Network, which support is implemented in all security solutions developed by Kaspersky Lab.
