Exhibition of bookplates “Shevchenkiana in bookplate”, dedicated to the 200th birthday anniversary of Taras Shevchenko is open from April 2-21, 2014 in the Museum of Bookplate and Miniature Book (Moscow). It features about 200 exhibits.  

A significant part of the exhibition includes bookplates from the collection of the Museum of Bookplates and Miniature Book which are related to the Soviet period.

The exposition includes signs sent by Ukrainian artists especially for the exhibition.

Mostly in their compositions artists depict portraits of T. G. Shevchenko with the scenes from his personal life or his works. Often in the design are used font elements: they are as a rule quotes from the poems of the great Ukrainian classics. There are pictures of various monuments of T. G. Shevchenko and the book covers of the famous "Kobzar".
