History and culture: Exhibition “I’ve got a heritage” from the collection of the Yanka Kupala Literary Museum to the Day of Unity of Peoples in Russia and Belarus in Kaliningrad

To the Day of the Unity of Peoples of Russia and Belarus, on April 2, 2014, the Kaliningrad Regional Historical and Art Museum presented exhibition of graphics “I’ve got a heritage” from the collection of the Yanka Kupala State Literary Museum (Minsk). The exposition introduces viewer with the work of the national poet, prophet of the national Revival of the early XX century. A deep philosophical and poetic world of works by Yanka Kupala is embodies in etchings, linocuts and lithographs of the Belorussian school of graphics, whose works are stored in many museums of the world. The works, presented at the exhibition, were created as illustrations to the books of Yanka Kupala and entered the golden fund of the Belarusian graphics of the XX – early XXI centuries.

The exhibition project is implemented with the support of the Minitstry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Kaliningrad region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Representative Office in Kaliningrad.
