Society and reading: Round table “The Role and the value of children’s book”, timed to the International Children’s Book Day, in Abakan

Since 1967 on the initiative of the International Board of Children’s Book on April 2, on the birthday of the great storyteller of Denmark Hans Christian Andersen, the whole world celebrates the International Children’s Book Day.

On this day, April 2, 2014, in the assembly hall of the “House of Writer” in Abakan (the Republic of Khakassia) is held the round table where the role and the value of children’s book is discussed: why from the early age is necessary to read good books, what role takes reading in the formation of spiritual and intellectual development of the younger generation.

At the meeting will be held the presentation of children’s books, published in the House of Writer, authors will deliver their speeches. The participants will also consider tasks ob the formation of the contest “Family Reading Club”.
