Russian museums: Exhibition “Museum and its creator”, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of museum composers A. S. Arensky, A. K. Lyadov, S. V. Rachmaninoff, in Novgorod

April 2, 2014 in the small reading room of the Novgorod Regional Library opens the documentary photo exhibition "Museum and its creator", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Museum of A. S. Arensky, A. K. Lyadov, S. V. Rachmaninoff Regional College of Arts and the 75th anniversary of its founder Valery V. Demidov.

The museum was opened on March 30, 1989 in one of the classes of the Novgorod Music College. The basis is in the material made ​​of three composers associated with the life and work of the Novgorod land. Two of them - Anthony Stepanovich Arensky and Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff were born here, Anatoly Konstantinovich Lyadov more than 40 years lived in the manor Polynovka of the Borovichsky County of the Novgorod province.

The museum is created by Valery Demidov involving ideas of Gavrilovna Demidova. Teachers of the Novgorod Regional College of Arts, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia, for many years enthusiastically collect unique materials about the life and work of composers, emphasizing Novgorod pages of their lives and work.

A Photo documentary exposition is designed to introduce the museum, its history and activities. Here you can see photographic evidence of the museum visit by relatives and outstanding musicians of composers, the life and work of who is devoted to the museum.

A part of the exhibition is devoted to Valery Vasilievich Demidov, who on March 23 was 75 years old. A graduate of the Leningrad Conservatory V. V. Demidov has done especially a lot and is doing for the Novgorod Music Studies.
