March 31 marks the 200th anniversary of the occupation of Paris by Russian troops. This day many historians consider the logical culmination of the Napoleonic Wars. At the initiative of the Russian Military-Historical Society in honor of this significant date in three French cities - in Reims, Fer-Champenoise and Verma – will be erected monuments to Russian soldiers and officers - participants of the French campaign in 1814, in memory of our compatriots who died in the war for liberation of Europe from Napoleon's troops.

The project of obelisks is made by famous Russian sculptor Alexander Taratynov. He will make the bronze part of the sculptural group, and part of the granite monument – the French company Léon Noël S.A.S.

This is not the first initiative of the Russian Military Historical Society for the Conservation of the military-historical heritage of Russia in France. In January 2014 in Cannes was held the donation of monument to the French people "Guardian Angel with a palm branch", which immortalized the exploits of soldiers and officers of the Russian Expeditionary Corps in the First World War.
