Culture and authority: The issue of development of projects of the encyclopedia edition considered at the board meeting of the Ministry of Culture of Russia

The Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky held a board meeting of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, at which were considered issues of further development of projects “Big Russian encyclopedia” and “Orthodox Encyclopedia”, reforming of the system of grants of the President of Russia, established in 2014 in the subjects of the Russian Federation branches of the leading federal museums, administered by the Ministry of Culture of Russia.

“The Ministry of Culture of Russia finances edition of volumes of Big Russian Encyclopedia since 2005. 2014 scheduled to release the 24th, 25th and 26th alphabetical volumes, - the State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Grigory Ivliev said. - Every year for this purpose the Ministry spends over one hundred million rubles. We are interested in that in the coming years to complete the publication and submit it full".

Meanwhile, according to Deputy Minister, today more urgent issues are the creation of an electronic version of the Great Russian Encyclopedia. And now this issue is being worked out. As an example, it can be used the experience of the Orthodox Encyclopedia. This project has the electronic version that is in demand by readers. Such interest makes accelerate the publication of the Orthodox Encyclopedia. And in place of the release of planned three volumes this year it will be published five.

Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Elena Milovzorova delivered speech on the development of the museum's activities in the regions and the establishment in the Russian Federation, branches of leading museums. To date, the largest museums open branches in 17 regions of the Russian Federation. This year and centers and exhibitions of federal museums will appear in 13 subjects - Kislovodsk, Zaraysk, Tambov, Ulyanovsk and other cities. In the Crimea and Sevastopol will soon start working branches of the largest Russian museums.
