Russian regions: Exhibition of painting and graphic “Earth and Sky of the Crimea” in Moscow
In the State Museum-Exhibition Center “ROSIZO” (Moscow) opened the exhibition of painting and graphic from the collection of the museum – “Earth and Sky of the Crimea”, - dedicated to the image of the Crimea in painting and graphic of national artists of the 1930-1980s. About 40 works of painting and graphic are combined with the desire of authors to preserve and pass through the means of art their Crimean impressions and a special atmosphere of the peninsula.
The exhibition contains works of art of different representatives of stylistic directions. These are watercolors of Alexander Pervukhin, Nicholas Gusaxhenko, and Ivan Chekmazov, a series of engravings on copper of Sergei Chernyshev “Landscapes of the Crimea”, auto lithographs of the poet and artist Eugene Bachurin, “Crimean corners” of Victor Sorokin and Victor Rusanov, picturesque works of art, dedicated to the heroic history of the peninsula.
The exposition also features a series of sketches to the panorama “Storm of Perekop” 1934-1940, at which was working a group artists led by N. G. Savitsky. During art tours to the Crimea artists created a series of sketches from battlefields, portraits of participants of events and numerous genre scenes.
