15 May 2014

In the Istrinsky District of the Moscow region (Padikovo village) took place the solemn opening of the Museum of National Military History. Especially for that event is built the building of about 2000 m². The opening ceremony was attended by State Secretary – Deputy Chairman of the Minister of Culture of Russia Gregory Ivliev.

“Selecting location for the construction of this military-national museum is not accident: in December 1941 here took place the line of defense of Moscow, beyond which German troops failed to pass through. The country has another center of historical memory, and the Ministry of Culture, as well as the Russian Military-Historical Society, strongly support the initiative”, - said Gregory Ivliev.

The museum has an open area of two hectares, which includes artillery and tank exhibits, featuring the military equipment of the Great Patriotic War.

The first floor of the museum hosts the Automobile and Motorcycle equipment of the time of war. The second floor hosts the exhibition, dedicated to the Victory Day.
