Society and reading: The VI Festival of the Local History Book “Yugorika” in Khanty-Mansiysk

May 14-15, 2014 in the State Library of Yugra (Khanty-Mansiysk) is held the IV Festival of Local History Book “Yugra”, which is held once every two years by the State Library of Yugra with the  support of the Department of Culture of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District – Yugra. The co-founder of the festival is the Department of Public and External Relations of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District – Yugra.

The VI Festival of Local History Book “Yugorika” is attended by more than 25 publishing companies and organizations from the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District – Yugra, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Salekhard. The festival program includes presentation of projects: “Big reading in Yugra”, “Literary landing”, “The Ural Federal District at the 17th National Book Fair “Books of Russia”, “Publishing projects of the foundation “Revival of Tobolsk”. It will be held the opening of the photo exhibition of Paul Krivtsov “Holy impulse of creativity”, there will be held meetings with writers, book presentations.

There will be presented more than 400 titles of books, published in the period of 2012 to 2014.

The organizers express hope that the festival will help to unite the efforts of institutions, organizations, individuals engaged in publishing, in the popularization of local history books and will stimulate the interest to the local history, local history book and the works by local authors.
