Society and book culture: Exhibition “English book in Russian sense” in Moscow

The State Pushkin Museum (Moscow) hosts the exhibition “English book in Russian sense” as part of the cross Year of Culture of Great Britain and Russia 2014, which presents a large-scale review of the development of the national illustrative creativity for nearly a hundred years.

The exposition features about 200 original graphic works of Soviet and Russian artists (71 authors), working since 1920s to early 2010. Created graphics is included to the golden fund of the national art of book. The exhibition of graphics is complemented with rare phenomenon of sculptural illustration, as well as puppet and decorative-subject compositions.
