Information technology and society: Application “School encyclopedic dictionary “Russian language” launched”

The application "School Encyclopedic Dictionary "Russian language"" is a mobile version of the school encyclopedia "Russian Language", created in the St. Petersburg State University with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation and it is the only dictionary application that contains the most comprehensive information about the structure, operation and history of the Russian language outlined authoritative modern linguists in the form of short articles for high school students and all those interested.

The dictionary focuses primarily on high school students, but it is written in a way that might interest anyone of curiosity or out of necessity and who thinks about what's inside the Russian language and how it is used. The dictionary is prepared by linguists - specialists of the Saint-Petersburg State University, the Herzen University and the Institute of Linguistic Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences - and contains about 600 entries and 2000 explains the linguistic terms. The dictionary covers a variety of topics relevant to both the student and for any educated person. A bright design by Zhdan Filippov and multi-level navigation system will help users of mobile applications for a fresh look into the Russian language and convince them that the fundamental Encyclopedic Dictionary - is not only useful, but also beautiful.
