Internet resources: Documentary video and audio of war times became available in the Internet

June 20 Gosteleradiofond presented a new section of the multimedia portal “Heroic history of Russia in the projects of Gosteleradiofond”, dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. The project is created with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and mass Communications as part of the state program “Patriotic education of citizens of the Russian Federation for 2011-2015”. 

The section “To the 70^th anniversary in the Great Patriotic War” presents Internet audience a unique opportunity to touch the living history. On the pages of the portal in modern adapted for Internet multimedia formats is presented a collection of digitized original materials of war and postwar times, stored in Gosteleradiofond.

This is more than a hundred of videos with rare newsreel of front shots, which sometimes cost lives to cameramen, and the memories of great commanders who led the country to Victory.

The portal hosts more than 600 hours of audio materials from the sound collection of Gosteleradiofond, reviving the situation of heroic years for the modern audience. At the website you can find radio shows of war with the participation of leading artists, poems, stories and novels of war and postwar years, songs of the Great Patriotic War and many other rare materials. At the pages is presented a history of Victory in sound – all records of legendary broadcaster Y. B. Levitan, whose voice was listened by the whole country, - from the first announcement of the beginning of war on June 22, 1941 and until the  act of the unconditional surrender of the German armed forces, read by announcer on may 9, 1945.

A particular attention at the website is paid to a historical chronicle of liberation of Crimea in 1944 – all audio and video materials from the storages of Gosteleradiofond, dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of this event, are published in a special section of the project.

The new section “To the 70^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War” has become the fifth section of the portal “Heroic history of Russia in projects of Gosteleradiofond”.
