Russian language and society: International Humanitarian Forum “Russian Language in the Dialogue of Cultures” in Perm

From June 10-11, 2014 in Perm for the second time is held the International Humanitarian Forum “Russian Language in the Dialogue of Cultures”. The organizers of the Forum are the Government of the Perm region, the Federal Agency “ROSSOTRUDNUCHESTVO” and “The Eurasian Dialogue” of the Russia’s Parliamentary European Club.

The Forum continues the thematic line of events dedicated to the issues of development and preservation of the Russian language and the Eurasian integration held in 2012-2013.

The program of the forum “Russian Language and the Dialogue of Cultures” consists of two parts:

- International Internet Conference.

- Business Program of the Forum.

The International Conference welcomes Russian-speaking politicians, cultural workers, journalists, experts and representatives of the public. During two days the Internet conference will unite more than two thousand specialists from Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America.

Among the topics are:

- The place of Russian language among other languages, public-political and legal aspects of preservation and the spread of the Russian language abroad;

- The Russian cultural code in the world cultural space;

- Foreign Russian, methodological basis and practice of teaching the Russian language as foreign;

- The Russia language and Russian culture – the dominant of cultural integrity of Russia and “Russian World”;

- The power of language and language of power.
