Russian Language: The Presidential Council for the Russian Language has been established

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On the Presidential Council for the Russian Language.

The Order says:

“In order to develop, protect and support the Russian language as the Russian Federation’s official language and make the state authorities’ work in this area more effective” I decide:

1.    To Establish the Presidential Council for the Russian Language.

2.    To approve the attached:

a)    Status of the Presidential Council for the Russian language;

b)    The Presidential Council composition on the Russian Language.
