
Russian language: The VIII International Festival “Great Russian Word” in Crimea
June 6-12, 2014 in Crimea is held the VIII International Festival “Great Russian Word”.
For the first time the Festival is held in new conditions, when the Republic of Crimea returned to the Russian Federation, and hence in a new format.
As part of the Festival is held the solemn ceremony of the opening of the monument “Sergius of Radonezh – collector of the Russian land”, timed to the 700th anniversary of the birth of the saint.
Also traditionally are held Cyril and Methodius Church Teaching Readings, the International Public Policy Forum "Interaction - 2014" (Discussion Topic: "Russian World"), a roundtable of politicians and political scientists "Russian World: Problems and Prospects", International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Russian language in a multicultural world".
In addition, it is planned a varied program for children, young people: creative, artistic, educational, literary, musical, concert programs. The festival attracts library institutions. The festival will include holiday of Russian books, Pushkin readings, exhibitions, theater performances, presentations, Pushkin's poetry festival and much more. During the festival the events take place not only in Simferopol, but also in other cities and regions of the Crimea.
