Internet and society: “Yandex” has updated the design of the main page and the search results

The Russian Internet search engine "Yandex" has launched a new design of the home page and search results. This was reported in the company's official blog. The authors of the press release noted that all the changes are associated with the preparation for the full launch of the experimental search platform "Islands", the announcement of which was held just over a year ago.

External changes of the home page are minor. Search string became somewhat thinner, but increased in size input field request. In addition, the design of the user icon has changed in the upper right corner of the page. Finally, changes touched search services for images and movies.

Page issuance changed more radically. The switches between the types of content and design changed moved to the left side of the page (before they were located above the search box in the form of hyperlinks). The message of "Yandex" is the location of switches called "vertical search engine".
