Exhibitions: Monuments of Russian art metal presented in Kolomenskoe
May 29, 2014 in the Museum-Reserve “Kolomenskoe” (Moscow) in the basement of the Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich opened a new exhibition "The artistry of silver, copper and forging. Russian metal from the collection of the Museum-Reserve", which introduces visitors to the unique collection of Russian art metal. The exhibition gives an idea of the highest artistic level and identity monuments of blacksmithing, copper, foundry and jewelry business in Russia in the XVII - early XX centuries. Among the exhibits are objects created in Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Russian North, the Urals and other regions.
The collection of metal art from the collection of Museum-Reserve has lasting cultural and historical value. It conveys tastes of the era, the people who used these items.
