The photo exhibition, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM), opened in Minsk.

Archival photographs of TASS (the Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union) 1974-1984 on the construction of the railway, the lifestyle of the builders, as well as unique shots of natural landscapes are the heart of the exhibition.

As noted in the press center of the Belarusian Railways, this year marks 40 years since the construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway - one of the largest railway in the world. Route crosses 11 major rivers and more than 200 railway stations and sidings.
