
Memory of Russia: "The Russian Glory Day" Festival in Tsarskoye Selo National Park of Pushkin
On July 27, 2014, on the eve of the Victory Day of Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky over the Swedes in the battle on Neva River and the Day of Christianization of Rus’, on the Day of Russian Navy, at the St. Sophia Cathedral in Pushkin for the third time "The Russian Glory Day" Festival will take place at Tsarskoye Selo National Park of Pushkin Town.
A memorial public prayer in St. Sophia Cathedral and near the monument to Alexander Nevsky will be served prior cultural, sports and entertainment social events. Live music concert will split between two festival stages the performances of ethno and folklore groups, Cossack choirs, Orthodox music ensembles, contemporary bards, poets and rock-groups.
AC Model Aircraft Club from Kolpino Town will show 3D pilotage of radio-controlled helicopter, an advanced aerobatics, the historic air battle of the Second World War, and with the multicopter the festival guests will get a bird's-eye view of the celebration.
Small reconstructions of the events and battles from the history of Russia are in the festival agenda as well.
