Russian regions: Exhibition “Letters, flying from the front” opened in Pskov as part of the City Day celebration

July 23, 2014 in Pskov took place events dedicated to the 1111 anniversary of the first mention in the annals of the city of Pskov, the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Pskov from Nazi invaders, the Day of Commemoration of the Holy Princess Olga.

On the eve of the 70th anniversary of its liberation from Nazi invaders in the city's cultural center of Pskov solemnly opened the exhibition "Letters flying from the front".

At the ceremony it was noted that the front letters become the primary source of the annals of the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition of the Pskov Branch of Russian Post presents yellowed soldiers triangles.

The exhibits are modern steel stamps, envelopes, and postcards military subjects provided by the Regional Museum of postal services the city Great Luke, as well as stamps, postcards of members of the Pskov collectors club, philatelist Basil Okanin.
