Information technology and museums: The museum audio guide started working in the Kemerovo Regional Museum

In July 2014 at the Kemerovo regional museum started working a museum audio guide, created on the basis of service IZI.travel – a platform uniting creators of multimedia guides from around the world and millions of travelers. On the basis of this service their audio guides already created hundreds of museums around the world, among them - the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum-Panorama "Battle of Borodino", the Russian Ethnographic Museum, the Geneva Museum of History and Art and many others.

The most valuable objects for the museum collection are selected for the first version of the audio guide of the Kemerovo regional Museum.

The audio guide is available for visitors through IZI.travel application for mobile devices on all modern platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone).

For the convenience of visitors in the museum is organized a free access point WI-FI, connecting to you can install the application on your device by reading the QR code, or by clicking on the link http://izi.travel/app.

In addition to the audio, the visitors are available high-quality photos, text descriptions, schedule of the museum and its location with the possibility of building a route.

The audio guide of the museum is planned to be developed and complemented with the new exhibits. Future plans – a creating of departmental museum audio guide and combining them into a single network with city tours in the same application. By the merger of museum institutions and the history of the city of Kemerovo will be created fundamentally new travel ecosystem conducive to attract tourists as well as increased interest in their city from the locals.
