Russian regions: The military-historical camp opened in the Nizhny Novgorod region

The military-historical camp “I am a citizen and defender of the great country!” brought together 150 adolescents aged 12-18. Young people will spend two weeks at the former children’s camp in the Lukoyanovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region in conditions close to the army.

The main emphasis in the camp is the military-historical. Per shift the guys will have military and physical training, will get theoretical and practical knowledge about military history of our country, will learn about traditions of the military ethics, the history of arms and single parts, will study the history of their family with the help of the electronic databases of the Ministry of Defense of Russia “Memorial” and “Feat of people”, will participate in the improvement of military graves and monuments; as well as the study of military commemorative dates, the Days of military glory, in the history of Fatherland, the history of the Russian statehood and the Russian Armed Forces, the state symbols of the Russian Federation.   

Total in 2014 was launched nine military-historical camps. There were already held shift in Crimea, the Pskov, the Tula, and the Moscow regions, the camp is also running in the Ryazan region. July 13 will be open the military-historical camp in Volgograd, then – in the Urals, in the Chelyabinsk region.
