Memory of Russia: The monument to Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky to be erected in Moscow

As part of events to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow will be erected a monument to Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky, who commanded the Victory Parade in 1945. The monument will be installed on the Boulevard of Marshal Rokossovsky, between houses number 11 and 12 in the area of the Bogorodsky Eastern Administrative District.

The contest to design a monument to Rokossovsky was announced by the Russian Military and Historical Society in May 2014. The best work has been recognized the work by People's Artist of Russia Alexander Rukavishnikov.

Konstantin Rokossovsky - is a Soviet and Polish military commander, Marshal of the Soviet Union and Marshal of Poland (received the title in 1949), twice Hero of the Soviet Union. He is one of the largest military generals of the World War II.
