Museums: The renovated Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War opened in the capital of Belarus

The updated Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War opened on June 2 in Minsk.

The opening of the new building of the museum is timed to the celebration of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. “During the year as part of the celebrations will be prepared thematic expositions in other museums of Belarus”, - said Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus Vasily Chernik.

The exhibits of the museum, as before, will tell of the heroism of Belarusian and Russian peoples. The chronological frameworks of the exposition after the reconstruction are expanded up to 1920-1950s, there appeared new halls and modern multimedia equipment. “The exposition of the new museum is crowned with the hall of Victory”, - stressed the Deputy Minister of Culture.
