Libraries of Russia: Syktyvkar hosts he round table “Public libraries: true to traditions, openness to innovations” as part of the Days of Moscow in the Republic of Komi
August 28, 2014 at the National Library of the Republic of Komi is held a roundtable "Public libraries: true to traditions, openness to innovations". The event takes place in the framework of the Days of Moscow in the Republic of Komi.
August 27-28, 2014 "Days of Moscow in the Republic of Komi" represent a rich program of cultural events, part of which is a round table dedicated to the role and place of the public library in modern society. The main topics of discussion were the issues relating to the situation of the public library, its importance in shaping the values of society.
Participants of the round table are specialists of the N. A. Nekrasov Central Universal Scientific Library of the city of Moscow and state and municipal public libraries of the Republic of Komi.
Also as part of the event, from 27 to 29 August 2014, in the National Library is held an exhibition-show of books "Moscow edits, the whole of Russia reads". The books were released by the publishing program of the Government of Moscow and transferred from the exchange-reserve fund of the N A. Nekrasov libraries of the Republic of Komi. The exposition includes a book dedicated to the art, Orthodoxy, culture, literature, history, the history of the capital of Russia, as well as the publication of military-patriotic themes, memoir and fiction.
