Memory of Russia: The Military-Historical reconstruction as part of the project “Living History” in Chelyabinsk

August 24, 2014 in the Chelyabinsk Gagarin Park is the held military-historical reconstruction, dedicated to the Day of military glory of Russia - the Day of the Battle of Borodino (celebrated annually on September 8).

The main action will take place on the central avenue of the park, the program provides an official part, costume posing fragments decisive battle of the Patriotic War in 1812, performance of art groups, quizzes and contests for the spectators, as well as a platform for historic dances.

The celebration takes place in the framework of the patriotic project "Living History" at the initiative of the center of historical and cultural heritage of Chelyabinsk and with the support of the Department of Culture of the city administration.

"In just a few years of historical festival "the Battle of Borodino" has become a bright event that gathers re-enactors from around the region. And this time the guys come from Ust-Katav, Ozersk, Chrysostom and Miassa. This year we have prepared for the audience three key episodes of the battle of Borodino: the battle for the Bagration flushes, the counterattack of the battery of Rayevsky and the Cossack Ataman Platov raid - all of these episodes contained our countrymen – from South Urals", - said the center's director Dmitry Semenov.

The project "Living History" is being implemented since 2010 and includes 13 events, including the reconstruction of the major historical battles, such as the "Battle on the Ice", "Battle of Poltava", "Capture of the fortress of Izmail", "Battle of Kursk", as well as tournaments through historical battles.
