
Memory of Russia: The VIII Festival of historical clubs “Voinovo field” in the Moscow region
23-24 August 2014 in the Moscow Region (the Serpukhov region, park Drakino) is held the VIII Festival of historical clubs "Voinovo field".
The festival offers a full immersion in the history of ancient Russia. The organization of life here is based on the principle of "living history", where each reconstructed object, action, and event is available for study. The guests of this historic action will see the daily lives of our ancestors, in touch with the spiritual and the material reflection of a bygone era. The object of the festival is to promote the historical heritage of ancient Russia, maintaining the continuity of generations, the popularization of history, culture and traditions of the ancient martial, promotion of historical reconstruction as a form of youth leisure activities, the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the clubs, development of event, and family tourism.
As part of the forum it will be held a large-scale reconstruction of the historic battle and competition in the ancient martial disciplines (javelin throwing, archery, fighting with swords in the team and individual competition).
The participants of the festival - the historical reconstruction clubs recreating the early Middle Ages, ethnographic, folklore and Cossack groups, artisans from all over Russia, the CIS and foreign countries.
