Information technology and culture: The virtual branch of the State Russian Museum opened in Saransk

August 21, 2014 in the capital of the Republic of Mordovia in Saransk took place the opening of information and educational center "The Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" in the Mordovia Republican Museum of Fine Arts of S. D. Erzya.

The Mordovia Republican Museum of Fine Arts of S. D. Erzya is one of the major cultural centers of the Republic of Mordovia.

The informational-educational center "The Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" is presented on the eve of the opening of the Mordovia Republican Museum of Fine Arts of S. D. Erzya after extensive renovation. The participation in the project of the museum "The Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" opens up broad prospects for him and allows engaging in cultural and educational space, uniting 149 virtual branches of the State Russian Museum, opened in our country and abroad. Visitors of the virtual branch in Saransk using modern computer technology can gain access to the cultural heritage represented by the State Russian Museum and the collections of museums participating in the project without having to leave the premises of educational study.

In the information and educational class everyone can see and work with interactive multimedia programs, developed by specialists of the State Russian Museum. Using the capabilities of your library, the museum will be able to include in the traditional lecture work new technical solutions. The multimedia cinema, equipped with the latest equipment, will host screenings of videos, presentations, online-lecture of the State Russian Museum.
