Society and culture: The exhibition “Russian avant-garde from the collection of the Penza Art Gallery”

August 15, 2014 at the Governor’s House in Penza was opened the exhibition "Russian avant-garde from the collection of the Penza Art Gallery".

Most part of the works that will be presented in the exposition just recently returned from the city of Voronezh from the International Platonov Festival of Arts.

As part of festival was held an exhibition "Freedom - the cause of peace. Russian avant-garde of the museums of Krasnodar, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Yaroslavl. "The exhibition viewer could see 78 works belonging to such movements as Expressionism, Suprematism, Constructivism and Cub futurism, most of which have not previously been exhibited. Among them were 13 works from the collection of the Penza Art Gallery.

Returning from the Festival works were supplemented with Russian avant-garde works from the museum and made a unique exhibition. Penza residents and guests will see masterpieces of A. Lentulov, N. Goncharova, R. Falk, A. Sturman, A. Baranov, P. Konchalovsky.
