Russian museums: The Naval Center is opened in Kaliningrad

August 1, 2014 at the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad takes place the opening ceremony of the Naval Center "Water Cube", timed to the First World War Centenary.

This is the first object of the museum complex, which was built in the framework of the federal target program "Culture of Russia". The new museum housing starts the exhibition "The First World War. The war at sea", devoted to the fate of the Russian sailors who participated in the naval battles. The exhibition - photos, samples of weapons, books, greeting cards, household items, decorations, medals, badges and other artifacts are related to the history of Russia's navy of 1914-1918 and the fighting at sea.

In addition to the exhibition hall, the Naval center includes cafe, a mess-submarine B-413, and an open area with an exposition of naval equipment.
