In Moscow, there probably will be a library, which comprises only e-books, said the director of the Moscow City Library Center (MGBTS) Maxim Fetisov.

He noted that today more and more Muscovites start using e-books, and some readers do not touch paper books at all. This kind of readers will be provided an opportunity to use the familiar format of reading in the library as well. Electronic library, according to Fetisov, could be created on the basis of one of the existing libraries of Moscow.

The entirely electronic library in Moscow will not appear until 2016, but the following year every Moscow library will provide both paper and e-books, Fetisov said.

According to him, Moscow may partially borrow the experience of the USA, where in 2013 opened the world's first public library without books, but with readers, where you can download electronic literature.

M. Fetisov also said that within the Year of Literature in 2015, in the parks and on the streets may appear QR-codes to download books. Previously, such a feature has appeared in public transport.
