Memory of the World: The International Military-Historical Festival “Kulikovo Field” in the Tula region

On the Kulikovo Field are held celebrations dedicated to the Day of military glory of Russia - the anniversary of the Battle of Kulikovo and the 700th anniversary of St. Sergius of Radonezh.

Traditional celebrations in honor of the military glory of Russia - the Battle of Kulikovo are opened with International Military-Historical Festival "Kulikovo Field". More than 500 fans of the history of Russia and the CIS countries will gather together on September 18-21 in a unique location - in Tatinsky fords, where the army of Dmitry Donskoy was shipped on the eve of battle. Here, on the Kulikovo field in the same camp after six centuries will be coexisted two great armies and culture - Russia and the Horde of the era of the Battle of Kulikovo.

As part of the festival the event in historical fencing, archery tournament, contests, historical reenactment of armor and costume contest, traditional cuisine, buhurts, equestrian tournament, historical fair will be held. The festival program will be completed with the main event of the festival - the reconstruction of medieval battle. On Red Hill of the Kulikovo field on September 20 will again meet Russian and Horde rati to recreate the legend of the Rout of Mamai. 

The celebrations of the anniversary of the Battle of Kulikov and the 700th anniversary of St. Sergius of Radonezh on Kulikovo field will be open with the sacred liturgy and requiem for the leaders and the soldiers who died for their country at all times. On Red Hill Kulikov field will be presented to the military history of different eras - from the time of the Battle of Kulikovo and to the present. Along with the military-historical bivouac dedicated to the Battle of Kulikovo, the War of 1812, the events of 1941 and the tradition of today's Russian Army, on the Red Hill will be held an exhibition of military equipment and arms "Tula - Russian defense shield".  

At the monument-column of Dmitry Donskoy an official ceremony of the celebration will be held. Here is the monument in honor of the victory of Russian troops over the Golden Horde, participants of the military-historical festival "Kulikovo Field" on Brigade bow will arrive.
