World history: The book exhibition “The Noble Prize: Past and Present” in Saint-Petersburg

In the main building of the National Library of Russia (St. Petersburg) took place the opening of the book exhibition "The Nobel Prize: Past and Present".

The sections of the exhibition match 5 certain by Alfred Nobel nominations, which are rewarded in: Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, promoting peace throughout the world. Each section contains materials related to the scientist, the first recipient of the award.

One of the most important parts of the exhibition "The History of the Nobel Prize" is devoted to the Alfred Nobel, his will and the history of the Nobel Prize.

The exhibition tells of our compatriots who were awarded with this prize in different times.

The publications for the exhibition are provided by Russian book and journal fund, the Central Reference Library, the Department of Prints, the Nobel Museum (Stockholm), as well as private collectors by Professor A. I. Melois and A. L. Gozom.

The exhibition will run until September 30.
